If you’re ready to move on from fading drum brakes, this DeeMaxx kit makes it simple. It includes everything needed to convert a tandem-axle setup to electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes. The 13-1/8" 1-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies come preloaded with inner (25580) and outer (14125A) bearings, seals, races, caps, bolts, and lug nuts. The 1,600-psi actuator ties into your existing brake controller for fast response with no lag or delay. Rubber hoses meet DOT and SAE standards and are easier to fit than rigid lines, so you can finish the job confidently.
With the included Alpha G1600 actuator, braking feels immediate and precise. It links directly to your in-cab brake controller using a 12V DC, 30-amp circuit and delivers up to 1,600 psi through a standard 3/16" inverted flare port. Because it activates when the tow vehicle brakes apply—not when the trailer pushes forward—you get smoother stops without the shove of surge brakes. You can even use manual override or back down an incline with full braking control.
Rust and salt can destroy unprotected hardware fast, but DeeMaxx’s Maxx coating holds up for over 1,000 hours in salt spray testing—far beyond zinc or Dacromet finishes. Drainage holes in the hat section let water escape easily while vented rotors shed heat and moisture. The coating extends across the hub-rotors, calipers, and brackets, making this setup ideal anywhere corrosion might be a concern.

Heat buildup leads to fade and uneven wear, but DeeMaxx vented rotors move air efficiently through the core for cooler operation. Kevlar brake pads handle heat while resisting wear for long service life. The stainless steel piston inside each caliper reacts quickly for consistent braking power. The result is shorter stops, reliable control at highway speed, and less stress when towing heavy or descending steep grades.

DeeMaxx designed this system for easy upkeep once installed. The caliper’s laser-etched bleeding guide is always visible when it’s time for maintenance—no searching for manuals. Because these disc brakes have fewer moving parts than drums, there are no springs or cables to adjust or replace. When pads eventually wear down, they’re simple to swap without removing the entire assembly.

It’s working great. I will have deemaxx on every camper that I buy in the future.
Great customer e
It was just what my customer wanted to make his cross county trip
Installation was easy
Kit was great except for one defective 24 inch brake hose.
Camper stops amazing now. And very smooth.
Much better than the magnetic.
Ordering process was a breeze, (thank you Paula). I provided the information, and she had the kit that I needed ready and shipped that evening. I was told it may take a week to get the kits, I received them in three days.
I had one question during installation about a piece that was in with the caliper and pads. After I called Paula, she did some checking (watched install video and talked to installers), they said the piece was something used for shipping. One side completed in less than two hours.

Hi Joseph, that's great to hear Paula helped make this experience go so smoothly for you! She's awesome and I'll her know you reached out! What are you hauling?
Awesome product. One line would not stop leaking so ran to parts store and picked up a metal one and that took care of it! But I was wondering where the free icechest was?
Very well made. Everything fit perfectly. Hardest part was tracing the brake wire and running the hose from the actuator to the first axle. The 2021 Sierra tow vehicle recognized the actuator without needing the adapter.
Good product. Although packaging was damaged in shipping. Some parts were missing. Made one call and the missing parts were sent out that day. Good customer service. Will buy again from them.
Did not install yet but I was disappointed that i had to order and pay for hoses and clamps to make a proper install.
this was my email to customer service who then sent me a link to purchase what i needed to make a correct professional install.
Joshua,
I’ve unpacked and inspected the products, and everything looks good with a couple of exceptions. Since the lines and fasteners are supplied as a generic set intended for multiple applications and various RV and trailer configurations, my specific installation would benefit from a few adjustments.
For the best fit and cleanest installation, I’ll need an additional set of clamps and screws, as well as two shorter brake lines. Two of the supplied lines are quite a bit longer than needed for my layout usable, but not ideal for a clean professional looking install and setup.
Could you please supply two shorter brake lines along with one extra set of clamps and screws?
I will never run electric drum brakes again!
This disc conversion kit is unbelievable in performance. New electric drum brakes don’t even perform close to the electric over hydraulic system. This kit needs to be installed on every trailer that has electric drum braking. Sending before and after install pics.
The only recommendation I have, is not to use the mounting hardware for the anchor plate that they provide. The nuts lock up halfway on and seize if you stop. Then getting to take back off, they snap off. Just use some good grade 5 or 8 hardware, and it will go together and come apart effortlessly
Kit is great, easy to install and fits good. I have 2 complaints though. Only one of the four disc kits came with the proper hardware to attach the caliper mount to the axle so I ended up just buying all Grade 8 hardware. My second complaint is the brake line that attaches the 4 way to the 3 way coupler. It's only 36" which is about 10" too short to span from one axle to the other. So I'm having a longer one made tomorrow. I feel like etrailer struggles a lot with packing and ironically the one box that was damaged and open was the one that actually had all the hardware. I can update about the performance when I get the new brake line made and the install finished.
The kit worked perfectly. Everything fit as described and shown on the E-Trailer website & in the videos. The 15,000lb trailer stops significantly better than before. Thank you!

Glad everything went well for you, Jeff! Did you have drum brakes prior to these? And what kind of trailer did you install them on?
